"Cursillo is a movement of the Church, providing a method by
which Christians are empowered to grow through prayer, study and
action and enabled to share Gods love with everyone."
Cursillo seeks to serve the whole Church, and to equip
Christians to be the church wherever they are, and in whatever
stream of tradition or theology they are comfortable. Cursillo
emphasises the ministry of the laity alongside the clergy, and in
Oxford Diocese it can be used as a practical expression of the Living Faith initiative. Bishop John emphasises the role of Cursillo in Living Faith in his letter to Clergy, July 2009.
